QUICK RIG’S Southern Tuna Open Gap hooks – Formerly DR. “J” hooks – are the open gap version of Southern & Tuna style hooks. We are stocking them in Stainless Steel. These hooks are used in lure and bait fishing as singles or doubles or in combination with our Southern & Tuna hooks. They are hand made and hand forged beauties. Check out our point and small barb. Because we placed the barb further back, this allows the point to get a bigger bite and faster penetration on the strike. Similar to the 7732 hook.
